A sloppy throw-in by Amado Tauro in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Azul y Oro's Cristobal Jerold. In the 16th minute Fernan Bernad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Misael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres de Cba's zone, Fernan Bernad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Misael came out of the goal and Fernan Bernad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Talleres de Cba's Edelmiro Misael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Bernad in the 23rd minute of play. Teo Garin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edelmiro Misael having to make a save. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Talleres de Cba's goalkeeper Edelmiro Misael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Teo Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernan Bernad was the one to do the kick off. If Fernan Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernan Bernad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Misael having to interfere. Azul y Oro played a much better game than Talleres de Cba and deserved their victory. The Talleres de Cba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
