Basilio Cordairo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Horacio Kelemen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Astor Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Vicente James ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lisandro Enaut was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Basilio Cordairo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Kelemen having to interfere. Porteña's Vicente James was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 89th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 98 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Porteña's Vicente James fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Lisandro Enaut made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Fagildo in the 100th minute. The Unión de San Luis fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Porteña were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
