Spectators: 7225 (Terracing: 5420, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Jesus Cebrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Telmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hermengildo Rosario during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes Candelarias AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Rosario. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Salomon in the 8th minute of play forced DIABLOS ROJOS's goalkeeper Jesus Cebrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candelarias AFC's Benito Telmo managed to work through DIABLOS ROJOS's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Benito Telmo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Candelarias AFC's Benito Telmo got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, DIABLOS ROJOS's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Salomon came free, but Jesus Cebrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Segundo Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Candelarias AFC's Manuel Pero got a free kick in the 28th minute. Nicolas Haitz took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Manex. Edgard Manex dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Candelarias AFC's Edgard Manex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Tolino in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 minutes, Manuel Pero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candelarias AFC and the DIABLOS ROJOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Candelarias AFC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Manuel Pero hit a great ball. Edgard Manex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Tolino in the 35th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Candelarias AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DIABLOS ROJOS:s goal. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for DIABLOS ROJOS. Teo Abaurre stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgard Manex. 2-0. After having played for 44 minutes, Nicolas Haitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIABLOS ROJOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Haitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Candelarias AFC's Edgard Manex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Tolino in the 46th minute of play. Edgard Manex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Tolino in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segundo Tolino was the one to do the kick off. Nicolas Haitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute Nicolas Haitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Manex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Odilon kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Candelarias AFC's Eustacio Salomon got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Segundo Tolino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Telmo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Nicolas Haitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Edgard Manex tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Segundo Tolino came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the DIABLOS ROJOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Segundo Tolino couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The DIABLOS ROJOS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Candelarias AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
