In the 4th minute Teodosio Bemabe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Oxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Delmar Vergaray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Echeverría and the La cantera de Manuelita players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Echeverría! In the 17th minute there was a penalty for La cantera de Manuelita. Primitivo Ostots stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aquilino Oxel. 0-1. The supporters of Echeverría booed when La cantera de Manuelita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Gotzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Echeverría's Aquilino Oxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Natal in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Nicolas Ubelteso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La cantera de Manuelita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 34 played minutes Echeverría got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Anaya. Arnaldo Rik took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquilino Oxel. Aquilino Oxel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristo Natal was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Echeverría's Delmar Vergaray got a free kick in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cristo Natal managed to get in a good position for a shot. La cantera de Manuelita's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Natal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Oxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. La cantera de Manuelita's Aureliano Eyague was substituted for Pascual Selatse. La cantera de Manuelita's Wilfredo Bartuelo was substituted for Cristo Natal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Bartuelo in the 62nd minute of play forced Echeverría's goalkeeper Aquilino Oxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Oxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleto Hever in the 66th minute. Aquilino Oxel came out of the goal and Faustino Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 played minutes La cantera de Manuelita got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Bartuelo. A sloppy throw-in by Benigno Anaya in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La cantera de Manuelita's Faustino Atauri. Teodosio Bemabe kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Nicolas Ubelteso sped through Echeverría's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aquilino Oxel. In the 94th minute of the match, Nicolas Ubelteso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aquilino Oxel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the final whistle sounded La cantera de Manuelita left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Echeverría.
