An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Jaunti in the 11th minute of play forced Mosmota AFC's goalkeeper Faustino Enekoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzalo Ospin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Jago in the 13th minute of the match. Nicanor Jaunti struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Faustino Enekoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Chilim Balam. Tiburcio Lalla charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiburcio Lalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Ciro Jago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiburcio Lalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes Sportivo Chilim Balam got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Lamberto. 34 minutes into the match, Mosmota AFC's Blas Claude sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gonzalo Ospin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ciro Jago hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Lalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Faustino Enekoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blas Claude stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blas Claude received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gonzalo Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sportivo Chilim Balam booed when Mosmota AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Remigio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzalo Ospin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Claude in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute of the match Mosmota AFC got a corner. Sportivo Chilim Balam's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Natalio Alonso ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Natalio Alonso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sportivo Chilim Balam's Gonzalo Ospin did a great save. Ildefonso Remigio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gonzalo Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blas Claude took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonzalo Ospin. Gonzalo Ospin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ildefonso Remigio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
