After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Carlos Erroman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Erroman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiburcio Sol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osvaldo Vasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Carlos Erroman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Sol having to interfere. Tiburcio Sol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Erroman, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tiburcio Sol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Vasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Vasco struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tiburcio Sol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelaria FC. The supporters of Monteverde AFC booed when Candelaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Charro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candelaria FC's Honorio Lorenz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 99th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Monteverde AFC. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Candelaria FC fully deserved thier win.
