Benjamin Madaleno came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Los Muchachos's Martin Cambranes. But to his dismay, Martin Cambranes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gerardo Ayala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Luzaide having to interfere. The supporters of Club Los Muchachos booed when Club Atlético Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Ieltxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Martin Cambranes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Madaleno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Damian Rio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Cambranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Froilan Behe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerardo Ayala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Luzaide having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Gerardo Ayala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Ayala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes in the game, Eliseo Ieltxu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Simon Luzaide having to interfere. Eliseo Ieltxu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Luzaide having to make a save. If Gerardo Ayala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Ieltxu made a kick off. Damian Goren made a great header on Club Atlético Talleres's corner, it was just that Club Los Muchachos's Simon Luzaide managed to reach the ball for a save. 60 minutes into the match, Club Los Muchachos's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Ayala came free, but Simon Luzaide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerardo Ayala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simon Luzaide read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Los Muchachos's Damian Rio got a free kick in the 65th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Eliseo Ieltxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Ieltxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute, Club Atlético Talleres's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Martin Cambranes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 77th minute Eliseo Ieltxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Luzaide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Damian Rio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Luzaide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Ieltxu in the 81st minute of play. Armando Chuse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Madaleno having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Benedicto Bautista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Talleres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Los Muchachos the free kick. After 86 played minutes Club Atlético Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Bautista. In the 89th minute of the match Club Los Muchachos got a corner. Club Atlético Talleres's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaston Duarte ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gaston Duarte almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Talleres's Benjamin Madaleno did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Cambranes in the 90th minute of play forced Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper Benjamin Madaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Cambranes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Benjamin Madaleno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gerardo Ayala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Luzaide having to interfere. The Club Atlético Talleres supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Los Muchachos's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Los Muchachos.
