Javier Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Aleksander Odeen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Urtzi's late challenge caught a Los Pampeanos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Froilan Urtzi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Packets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Urtzi to maneuver through the defense. Javier Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Los Pampeanos getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Julian Chinto hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Marcos Celio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Odeen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lázaro Dunixi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksander Odeen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Los Pampeanos's Gogo Bembe got a free kick in the 24th minute. Marcos Celio missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 26 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Aleksander Odeen right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartolo Farias during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Los Pampeanos booed when Packets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Farias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Javier Arias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Los Pampeanos's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Dunixi came free, but Aleksander Odeen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Javier Arias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleksander Odeen was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pampeanos's zone, Lázaro Dunixi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksander Odeen came out of the goal and Lázaro Dunixi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lázaro Dunixi to strike the kick off in the second half. Octavio Mercurio charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavio Mercurio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Packets's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Farias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th minute, Javier Arias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Packets fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Despite being the better team, Packets failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
