Alsan Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Chinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Edelmiro Aragones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edelmiro Aragones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alsan Koehler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Genaro Larra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Bras in the 53rd minute of the match. After 55 minutes, Honorio Bras made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Che Oncativo's Genaro Larra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, Honorio Bras fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alsan Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Oriche in the 64th minute of the match. Remco Tijink's late challenge caught a Che Oncativo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edelmiro Aragones charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Che Oncativo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Larra should have stopped the shot. 1-4 became the score in the 88th minute when Honorio Bras elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 94th play minute Edelmiro Aragones came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Genaro Larra. 1-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Byron Bay City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
