Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Martin Llorenc kicked off to start the match. Ramon Orlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Alvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 8th match minute, Carolina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Reyes to maneuver through the defense. After 12 minutes, Freddy Quintun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors and the Carolina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Freddy Quintun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 minutes, Nereo Godoy made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Carolina's Vaja Khatiashvili tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nereo Godoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Alvarez succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Carolina's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Godoy came free, but Vaja Khatiashvili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nereo Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Godoy in the 41st minute of play forced Carolina's goalkeeper Vaja Khatiashvili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramon Orlo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Alvarez's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Martin Llorenc struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Ramon Orlo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carolina. After 47 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Quintun. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nereo Godoy was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Gaspar Belarmo got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Martin Llorenc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Orlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Orlo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Llorenc in the 62nd minute of the match. Martin Llorenc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ramon Orlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nereo Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Jorge Alvarez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ramon Orlo. Jorge Alvarez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice moves Jorge Alvarez could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Ramon Orlo however easily saved by the left post. When Carolina's Martin Llorenc in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boca Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. When Gogo Elivareo fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Gogo Elivareo a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boca Juniors! Boca Juniors:s Ramon Orlo showed great skill when he stopped Raimundo Karmel:s penalty. In the 85th minute Javier Chayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaja Khatiashvili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Llorenc in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Orlo saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. After 87 played minutes Carolina got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Guillem. Nereo Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Vaja Khatiashvili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nereo Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaja Khatiashvili having to interfere. Ramon Orlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Llorenc in the 96th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Javier Chayo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Carolina's Vaja Khatiashvili. Vaja Khatiashvili was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
