Qiu Yan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Cesar Ler 8 minutes into the match. Qiu Yan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Ler having to interfere. Qiu Yans short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Cesar Ler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Qiu Yan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Cesar Ler made a huge save. CUBA LIBRE's Cesar Ler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save CUBA LIBRE from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Astor Salamon during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Astor Salamon hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Astor Salamon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Qiu Yan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cesar Ler came out and tried to block the shot, but Qiu Yan slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Astor Salamon struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Cesar Ler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volcán. 41 minutes into the game, Volcán's Qiu Yan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesar Ler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Anacleto Kemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Wawak having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The supporters of Volcán booed when CUBA LIBRE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Emmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, CUBA LIBRE's goal looked a bit too open when Qiu Yan came free, but Cesar Ler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Volcán fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Volcán's Qiu Yan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Volcán's Nicolas Ostots got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiu Yan in the 64th minute of play forced CUBA LIBRE's goalkeeper Cesar Ler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moises Emmanuel charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Emmanuel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Constantin Ielciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Ler having to interfere. Astor Salamon scored 6-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesar Ler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Qiu Yan in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Ler saved CUBA LIBRE from getting behind. In the 93rd minute Qiu Yan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Ler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CUBA LIBRE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
