Spectators: 7177 (Terracing: 5385, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Celta's Santo Esdras started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Cordareo in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Jakobe saved Celta from getting behind. If Santo Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes CAVS got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Tano. Remigio Iban made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Balesio in the 16th minute. Raimundo Balesio in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Remigio Iban, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 20 minutes, Gaspar Gregory mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CAVS and the Celta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in CAVS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Remigio Iban had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Roman Goizeder's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Apolo Burutzagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eduardo Jakobe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Cordareo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Jakobe having to make a save. The wind increased when Apolo Burutzagi made the kick off in the second half. Apolo Burutzagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 56 minutes, Raimundo Balesio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Balesio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Celta's Santo Esdras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remigio Iban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reynaldo Oriol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Jakobe having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Celta's Raimundo Balesio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remigio Iban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Etxeberri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Remigio Iban. CAVS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Remigio Iban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Esdras, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Celta's Eduardo Jakobe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Burutzagi in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Cordareo got free with Eduardo Jakobe in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Efrain Oliviero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th play minute Diego Cordareo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eduardo Jakobe. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Apolo Burutzagi in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Jakobe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Diego Cordareo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAVS's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Cordareo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Jakobe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Jakobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Burutzagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Diego Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Celta's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Burutzagi came free, but Eduardo Jakobe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CAVS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
