The referee ignored Necochea AFC's protests and gave Clodoveo Cheche a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yuto AFC booed when Necochea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Cheche didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Arnoldo Pere had to leave the field with a concussion. After 10 played minutes Necochea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Rudolfo. In the 12th minute, Gavino Handi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Necochea AFC's Melquiades Madeo got a free kick in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gavino Handi got free with Victorio Lamberto in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Yuto AFC's Gavino Handi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victorio Lamberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Adolfo Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Necochea AFC's Victorio Lamberto got control of the ball when Gavino Handi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Silvano Mateo came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Yuto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Mateo couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Necochea AFC's zone, Gavino Handi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Lamberto came out of the goal and Gavino Handi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yuto AFC's Silvano Mateo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavino Handi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victorio Lamberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yuto AFC. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cecilio Patxi made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Necochea AFC's zone, Gavino Handi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Lamberto came out of the goal and Gavino Handi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yuto AFC's Pepe Santoro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Yuto AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Alejo Iratxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the game, Necochea AFC's Gaspar Aballe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pepe Santoro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cecilio Patxi kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Victorio Lamberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Handi in the 77th minute of play. Gavino Handi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Victorio Lamberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Handi scored 1-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victorio Lamberto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvano Mateo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Lamberto having to interfere. Rafael Poz kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Gavino Handi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dionisio Nisio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 minutes of play Necochea AFC's Faustino Rudolfo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Faustino Rudolfo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Gavino Handi might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victorio Lamberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gavino Handi ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Palos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Victorio Lamberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Necochea AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Yuto AFC had controlled the match.
