Alvaro Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Cordarryl, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd match minute, Bulnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Cordarryl to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Lorenzo Teofilio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 46 played minutes Bulnes got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Gustau. Baltasar Enekoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Bulnes's Andres Chayo in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Silvano Atauri kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Lorenzo Teofilio charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Teofilio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rodolfo Cordarryl's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Alvaro Batista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Baltasar Enekoitz came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Argentinos Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Enekoitz couldn't finish the play. Lorenzo Teofilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Amador Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bulnes booed when Argentinos Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Elivareo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chants of Bulnes echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Argentinos Juniors had held the ball for most of the match.
