Godofredo Inautzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Efrain Ostadar having to make a save. In the 13th minute, Arturo Cordera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Efrain Ostadar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pateenalarco's Jacobo Emenon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Neto in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Godofredo Inautzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pateenalarco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Inautzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Arturo Cordera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Armando Neto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Efrain Ostadar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Cordera in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Pateenalarco booed when River Pasion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Gabon didn't get a good kick on the ball. River Pasion's Armando Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Aldo Gorbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Emenon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Neto in the 41st minute of play. Wilfredo Egun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Emenon having to interfere. If Godofredo Inautzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arturo Cordera to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in River Pasion's zone, Godofredo Inautzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Ostadar came out of the goal and Godofredo Inautzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godofredo Inautzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The attack was good, but when Arturo Cordera in the 56th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Egun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Emenon was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Inautzi got free with Efrain Ostadar in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in River Pasion's zone, Godofredo Inautzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Ostadar came out of the goal and Godofredo Inautzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efrain Ostadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Cordera, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Inautzi got free with Efrain Ostadar in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Egun in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Emenon saved Pateenalarco from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of River Pasion:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pateenalarco:s goal. After a rather tough play, Pateenalarco's Enrique Lleir got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ovidio Peruxu's late challenge caught a River Pasion's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidio Peruxu helped the player get up and apologised. 91 minutes into the match, Pateenalarco's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Egun came free, but Jacobo Emenon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Pateenalarco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Delfino to maneuver through the defense. Jesus Senio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Emenon having to interfere. Pateenalarco's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
