The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Baldomero Guifre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ranquelcó and the Bulnes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ranquelcó fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Lázaro Baraquiel shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ranquelcó's Victorino Fraco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Ranquelcó from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Ranquelcó's Victorino Fraco got control of the ball when Aureliano Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aureliano Duarte took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorino Fraco. Victorino Fraco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Cecilio Clemencin hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Ranquelcó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Roderigo to maneuver through the defense. Lázaro Baraquiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Aureliano Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Bulnes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Duarte couldn't finish the play. Victorino Fraco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Baraquiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Freddy Argina notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Bulnes FC's Federico Donostia. Federico Donostia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Bulnes FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ranquelcó:s goal. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Ranquelcó. Aureliano Osmundo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Federico Donostia. 1-3. Lázaro Baraquiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Fraco having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aureliano Duarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Bulnes FC's Federico Donostia got control of the ball when Arsenio Dayam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorino Fraco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Baraquiel in the 56th minute of the match. When Bulnes FC's Aureliano Duarte in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ranquelcó's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Bulnes FC booed when Ranquelcó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Guifre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lázaro Baraquiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Fraco having to interfere. Bulnes FC's Artemio Cibran was substituted for Honorio Michael. 86 minutes into the match, Ranquelcó's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Baraquiel came free, but Victorino Fraco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Ranquelcó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Argina to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimiro Hunfredo during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Vladimiro Hunfredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bulnes FC's Federico Donostia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Argina in the 97th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Bulnes FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
