Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gervasio Argenis made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Jonathan Lordi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes G.E.R F.C got a freekick which was hit by Mario Hug. Joel Sayveon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damaso Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bernardo Erramu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Matheu booed when G.E.R F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Efren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Joel Sayveon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Erramu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teo Bitxintxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Argenis in the 24th minute of play. Bernardo Erramu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Joel Sayveon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Sayveon in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Erramu saved G.E.R F.C from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, G.E.R F.C's goalkeeper Bernardo Erramu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damaso Franco. Marcelo Peyo's late challenge caught a Matheu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Peyo helped the player get up and apologised. Marcelo Peyo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Fausto Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Erramu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Domingo Damario made a precise shot to the right of Teo Bitxintxo. Matheu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Teo Bitxintxo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gervasio Argenis went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half G.E.R F.C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Ihazintu to make the kick off. Damaso Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Erramu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Ihazintu in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Matheu getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Paulino Remigio hit a great ball. When Damaso Franco came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Matheu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Franco couldn't finish the play. Damaso Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Erramu having to interfere. Efrain Quin hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Isaias Hitzeder didn't quite understand what happened when in the 73 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. When Damaso Franco came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Matheu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Franco couldn't finish the play. After having played for 78 minutes, Damaso Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Franco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingo Damario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Ponc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matheu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G.E.R F.C the free kick. In the 83rd minute, one of Matheu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Matheu. Bernardo Erramu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Franco in the 89th minute of play. Dario Colon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Domingo Damario was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. G.E.R F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matheu the free kick.
