Maximo Mero scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ceferino Llin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Natalia Natalia FC's Nicanor Stanislao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Tabb in the 84th minute of play. Club Nacional de Futbol's Serafin Venceslas got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elpidio Tabb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Martxel hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 1-2 became the score in the 91st minute when Elpidio Tabb elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ceferino Llin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Pello in the 95th minute of the match. The Club Nacional de Futbol supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Nacional de Futbol would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
