After 9 played minutes Villa Alem de Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Admon. Rodolfo Piarres struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Marcos Belo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Alem de Tucuman. After having played for 15 minutes, Paolo Nabar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Alem de Tucuman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Nabar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Mauricio Locaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Alem de Tucuman fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 23rdth minute of the game Mauricio Locaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportivo Sachetti's Marcos Belo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Villa Alem de Tucuman's Paolo Nabar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Belo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sportivo Sachetti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Efrain Hever ran over to the corner to take the kick. Villa Alem de Tucuman's Efrain Hever was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Belo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 29 minutes into the game, Filiberto Cordara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Primitivo Celino. Filiberto Cordara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Primitivo Celino made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Gabriel Tiniebra sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute Romeo Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Belo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Locaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Marcos Belo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rodolfo Piarres fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Alem de Tucuman's protests and gave Rodolfo Piarres a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Villa Alem de Tucuman getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rodolfo Piarres hit a great ball. Marcos Belo came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Alem de Tucuman's Mauricio Locaio. But to his dismay, Mauricio Locaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Locaio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Romeo Perfecto fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Melquiades Quinito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Belo. Sportivo Sachetti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Gabriel Tiniebra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Primitivo Celino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Locaio in the 76th minute of play forced Sportivo Sachetti's goalkeeper Marcos Belo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes of play, Sportivo Sachetti's Gabriel Tiniebra made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Primitivo Celino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Belo made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Romeo Perfecto sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the match, Sportivo Sachetti's goalkeeper Marcos Belo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Nabar. With a little luck, Sportivo Sachetti's Marcos Belo got control of the ball when Romeo Perfecto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Villa Alem de Tucuman may have spent more time on the ball, but Sportivo Sachetti were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
