Mauricio Distiratsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Pepillo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Distiratsu in the 10th minute of play forced FC Pirañas's goalkeeper Raimundo Pepillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Oscar Basajaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Lorencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Basajaun in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Lorencio saved Tacoyoj FC from getting behind. Nunez Oihenarte kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Mauricio Distiratsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacoyoj FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Distiratsu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Pepillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Lorencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Basajaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrado Mero got free with Raimundo Pepillo in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Oscar Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Lorencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Garci, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

55 minutes into the match, Tacoyoj FC's goalkeeper Jorge Lorencio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Basajaun. After a rather tough play, FC Pirañas's Serafino Joseph got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pirañas's zone, Conrado Mero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Pepillo came out of the goal and Conrado Mero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Conrado Mero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tacoyoj FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Conrado Mero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Oscar Basajaun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Pirañas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Basajaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Pepillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Distiratsu in the 73rd minute of the match. Conrado Mero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Tacoyoj FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Pirañas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
