An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Maju in the 7th minute of play forced Atlanta United's goalkeeper Francisco Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Efraim hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Guido Batista notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atlanta United's Francisco Diegotxe. Francisco Diegotxe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Efrain Odol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Celso Beliran managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Atlanta United's Ruperto Tirso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruperto Tirso made a kick off. A collision led to AC Mesada getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jeremias Quiroga hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, AC Mesada's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Cordeal came free, but Celso Beliran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victoriano Olo's late challenge caught a AC Mesada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victoriano Olo helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Atlanta United got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Olo. Efrain Odol took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisco Diegotxe. Francisco Diegotxe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 65 minutes into the match, AC Mesada's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Tirso came free, but Celso Beliran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leandro Segio hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A hard and well directed shot from Jonatan Maju led 68 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Atlanta United's Francisco Diegotxe became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-3. Francisco Diegotxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Batista in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute of the match Segundo Libertad shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celso Beliran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Damian Cordeal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Diegotxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 91st minute, Atlanta United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guido Batista fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
