Goya's Raimundo Urki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Porfiro in the 17th minute of play. Raimundo Urki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Empedrado's Epifanio Montrell got his second yellow card of the match in the 20th minute. The referee ordered Epifanio Montrell off the ground. After a rather tough play, Empedrado's Epifanio Montrell got a free kick in the 20th minute. Nemesio Lluciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nemesio Lluciano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Otsoko having to make a save. After 27th play minutes Osvaldo Mosen shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Teodoro Otsoko and just under the crossbar into goal. After 30 played minutes Empedrado got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Bertin. After recieving a nice pass, Goya's Modesto Cordeiro tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Empedrado's Teodoro Otsoko got control of the ball when Nemesio Lluciano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimundo Urki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Porfiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. During the 37th minute of the match Julian Mendez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Julian Mendez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 38th minute, Julian Mendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Mosen in the 40th minute of play forced Empedrado's goalkeeper Teodoro Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patricio Porfiro made a kick off. Fernando Bertin hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When Honorato Viator fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goya's protests and gave Honorato Viator a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute Patricio Porfiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Urki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goya's Raimundo Urki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Goya from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute, Nemesio Lluciano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Goya's goalkeeper Raimundo Urki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patricio Porfiro. Alvaro Ilazki kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Osvaldo Mosen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honorato Viator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Teodoro Otsoko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sixto Lawrence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
