After the first half Goyeneche were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erasmo Pasqual made a kick off. Erasmo Pasqual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 52nd match minute, Goyeneche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Argi to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes in the game Desiderio Sandaili did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gerardo Intxixu. Goyeneche's Abelardo Frisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Sarracino in the 75th minute of play. Delmar Baumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Goyeneche supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Goyeneche would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
