Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Santo Laurin started the match with the kick off. Gilberto Sidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Abecia in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mencué's Natalio Ostargi got a free kick in the 7th minute. Natalio Ostargi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 11th match minute, Deportivo Lapala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Camerino to maneuver through the defense. Uriel Berdoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Laurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Hugo Abecia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Lapala getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Natalio Bizen hit a great ball. The supporters of Mencué booed when Deportivo Lapala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Inocente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Lapala's Uriel Berdoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Laurin in the 20th minute of play. Gilberto Sidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Camerino in the 24th minute of the match. Hugo Abecia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Sidro having to interfere. The supporters of Deportivo Lapala booed when Mencué was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Ostargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Hugo Abecia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Lapala's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Abecia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Sidro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Mencué getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Lucio Jaunzuria hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute Lucio Jaunzuria suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Ramond during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Santo Laurin charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santo Laurin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Santo Laurin kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Deportivo Lapala's Leonel Camerino got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Benjamin Ramond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Camerino to make the kick off. A collision led to Mencué getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Santo Laurin hit a great ball. Natalio Ostargi kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mencué's Gilberto Sidro got control of the ball when Hugo Abecia tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Camerino got free with Gilberto Sidro in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonel Camerino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Sidro having to interfere. If Hugo Abecia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Arturo Teofilio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Hugo Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mencué succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Deportivo Lapala had controlled the match.
