In the 14th minute Robustiano Canor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Baristo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Robustiano Canor managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Sandino's supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Canor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robustiano Canor in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillermo Baristo saved Ancóm from getting behind. Guillermo Baristo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Canor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robustiano Canor was the one to do the kick off. Ancóm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Venerando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, AC Sandino's Edgard Sanduru got a free kick in the 64th minute. Cirilo Aragones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Venerando in the 65th minute of the match.
