But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Savion couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Teamgeist's zone, Mariano Savion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Garikoitz came out of the goal and Mariano Savion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucio Garikoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Mannie, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Lino Fernado took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filomeno Panpili. Filomeno Panpili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Baldomiro Castel kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Albino Marin's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Filomeno Panpili - 3-0 was put on the score board in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Eustaquio Oskitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Mario Cristofol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teamgeist's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Cristofol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Panpili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee gave Teamgeist a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Albino Marin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Resistencia AFC's Filomeno Panpili. 4-0. Eustaquio Oskitz kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Lucio Garikoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Savion in the 36th minute of the match. Lorenzo Beat charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Beat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Teamgeist was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Beat to maneuver through the defense. Pascual Hitz charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Hitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Teamgeist getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. A wasted opportunity for Resistencia AFC. With an all-out effort, Resistencia AFC's Lucio Garikoitz threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tadeo Mannie, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pascual Hitz got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 67th match minute, Teamgeist was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Hitz to maneuver through the defense. Teamgeist's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Savion was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. If Tadeo Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Resistencia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Oskitz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Savion got free with Lucio Garikoitz in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Tadeo Mannie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Savion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Lucio Garikoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
