Emiliano Noe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Escarto FC's Joel Urki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Fonso in the 23rd minute of play. Emiliano Noe hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Cristobal Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Montrelle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Fonso in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Urki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Honorato Uzuri came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Toroyaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Uzuri couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Noe in the 32nd minute of play forced Escarto FC's goalkeeper Joel Urki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Fonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Toroyaco's Gualterio Eneas got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Toroyaco got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Precioso. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Santo Fonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toroyaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Fonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Urki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd play minute Camilo Remicio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jeremias Montrelle. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Santo Fonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Urki was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Toroyaco's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
