Spectators: 7222 (Terracing: 5418, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Raimundo Emmanuel got the match started through his kick off. If Carolo Abilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Isadore lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Pontevedra AFC. Justo Edur stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gustavo Poz. 1-0. In the 10th minute, Faustino Ireno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marcos Urdin fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pontevedra AFC's protests and gave Marcos Urdin a yellow card for diving instead. Marcos Urdin kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, Vancouver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Herrera to maneuver through the defense. If Gaston Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Marcos Urdin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Poz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pontevedra AFC's zone, Rodolfo Osorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moises Olentzaro came out of the goal and Rodolfo Osorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionisio Rafel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Moises Olentzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carolo Abilio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Poz made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Gaston Berenguer sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 42 minutes, Gaston Berenguer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontevedra AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Berenguer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Poz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Abilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When Carolo Abilio came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Pontevedra AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carolo Abilio couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Pontevedra AFC booed when Vancouver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Osorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gaston Berenguer came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Pontevedra AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Berenguer couldn't finish the play. After 75 minutes, Osvaldo Milian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vancouver and the Pontevedra AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vancouver fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Dionisio Rafel struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Moises Olentzaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vancouver. Marcos Urdin kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Carolo Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Poz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Abilio in the 89th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Pontevedra AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
