Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justo Chus to make the kick off. Justo Chus did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised German Pacifico 78 minutes into the match. Cesar Sugoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Enzo Restu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Luis Raymundo fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valle's protests and gave Luis Raymundo a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Valle:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santa Fe:s goal. Mauro Tavio shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. German Pacifico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Chus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santa Fe had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
