The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernan Jaunti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Eusebio Palos got a free kick in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Pablo Tanio put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fernan Jaunti. Anselmo Mosen hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Rincón de los sauces F.C's Ulises Belo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Rincón de los sauces F.C from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the game, one of Independiente:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente's Eusebio Palos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulises Belo. That made the score 1-2 after 34 minutes of play. After the first half Rincón de los sauces F.C were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Tanio to make the kick off. Ulises Belo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Manilan in the 53rd minute of the match. Eusebio Palos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ulises Belo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, one of Independiente:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fernan Jaunti had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Faustino Frechoso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Ramiro Raymon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rincón de los sauces F.C's zone, Eusebio Palos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Belo came out of the goal and Eusebio Palos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusebio Palos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independiente's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicasio Ugaitz in the 72nd minute. Independiente's Nicasio Ugaitz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulises Belo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eusebio Palos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Independiente's Eusebio Palos got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Rincón de los sauces F.C's Pablo Tanio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernan Jaunti. That made the score 1-3 after 87 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ramiro Raymon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramiro Raymon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Belo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rincón de los sauces F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
