The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Sporting Club FC booed when Clan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Gelacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureliano Abeijon's late challenge caught a Sporting Club FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Abeijon helped the player get up and apologised. Pablo Chale was extremely unlucky when he, in the 12th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 14 played minutes Tomás Goren could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Jonas Manilan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Bernardo Lertxun made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Rene Nazario sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Pablo Chale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Club FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Chale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Lertxun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Aristides Honesto fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Club FC's protests and gave Aristides Honesto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute of the match, Pablo Chale tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernardo Lertxun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rene Nazario's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Bernardo Lertxun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Honorato Gelacio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Rene Nazario cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bernardo Lertxun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquin Lando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pablo Chale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bernardo Lertxun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Bartolo Peio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Lertxun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Nazario in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Pablo Chale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Club FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Chale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the game, Pablo Chale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Bernardo Lertxun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pablo Chale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Bernardo Lertxun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Rene Nazario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Club FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Nazario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sporting Club FC's Pablo Chale got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Pablo Chale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Lertxun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Nazario in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Chale in the 83rd minute of play forced Clan FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Lertxun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Nazario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pablo Chale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Lertxun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Sporting Club FC's Rene Nazario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Lertxun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pablo Chale struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Bernardo Lertxun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Club FC.
