Simbolar FC's Melquiades Clemencin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Simbolar FC from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute Lázaro Evarado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Ugaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Simbolar FC's zone, Pablo Frederico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Clemencin came out of the goal and Pablo Frederico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lázaro Evarado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cayetano Ugaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Simbolar FC's goalkeeper Melquiades Clemencin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoldo Silvanito. In the 23rd minute, Nestor Santo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th match minute, Hoyón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Belmiro to maneuver through the defense. Lázaro Evarado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Ugaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Lázaro Evarado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Ugaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cayetano Ugaitz came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Simbolar FC's Lázaro Evarado. But to his dismay, Lázaro Evarado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Arnulfo Bemabe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simbolar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Bemabe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Ugaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lázaro Evarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes Hoyón got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Marquez. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pablo Frederico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damian Ekain hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Arnulfo Bemabe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfredo Gauargi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cayetano Ugaitz having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Pablo Frederico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoyón's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Frederico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Clemencin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Hoyón fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Hoyón's Arnoldo Silvanito looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Arnulfo Bemabe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Simbolar FC's Cayetano Ugaitz threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lázaro Evarado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Hoyón getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Fabricio Montez hit a great ball. Lázaro Evarado struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Cayetano Ugaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simbolar FC. Cayetano Ugaitz made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Arnulfo Bemabe sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute of the match Simbolar FC got a corner. Hoyón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Herminio Quexal ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Simbolar FC's Nestor Santo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Arnoldo Silvanito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Clemencin having to interfere. When Fabricio Montez was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. The supporters of Simbolar FC booed when Hoyón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Montez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Ugaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Evarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
