The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mateo Gartzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Fermin Txartiko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ALTE BROWN FC's Fermin Txartiko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Gartzi in the 4th minute of play. Julio Richie hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Fermin Txartiko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Gartzi in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Poderoso Gael booed when ALTE BROWN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Amaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Poderoso Gael's Mateo Gartzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fermin Txartiko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, ALTE BROWN FC's Saturnino Isusko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Nabar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Venancio Laurendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fermin Txartiko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Gartzi in the 25th minute of the match. If Venancio Laurendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gregorio Cordarryl's late challenge caught a Poderoso Gael's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregorio Cordarryl helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, one of ALTE BROWN FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ALTE BROWN FC. Damaso Peter shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Venancio Laurendi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poderoso Gael's supporters rose to their feet, but Venancio Laurendi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fermin Txartiko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute Mateo Gartzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Txartiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Pasqual hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. ALTE BROWN FC's Gaston Calvino got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateo Gartzi to make the kick off. ALTE BROWN FC's Saturnino Isusko got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaston Calvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Melquiades Nabar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Roldanillo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ALTE BROWN FC's Julio Richie got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Damaso Peter was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, ALTE BROWN FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Gartzi came free, but Fermin Txartiko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Poderoso Gael's Melquiades Nabar got control of the ball when Gaston Calvino tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Poderoso Gael getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Omar Macerio hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Mateo Gartzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fermin Txartiko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Gartzi in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Poderoso Gael's Venancio Laurendi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fermin Txartiko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Saturnino Isusko might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melquiades Nabar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Isusko ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Poderoso Gael fans cheered their team off the field, for while ALTE BROWN FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
