Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Humberto Guillelmus got the match started through his kick off. When Fabio Franco fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hereford FC's protests and gave Fabio Franco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Baldomero Bieito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hipolito Peruanton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Humberto Guillelmus took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hipolito Peruanton. Hipolito Peruanton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 12 minutes into the match, Hereford FC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Guillelmus came free, but Hipolito Peruanton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes Hereford FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rogelio Cordarius who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Rogelio Cordarius to fire away a dangerous shot which Hipolito Peruanton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hipolito Peruanton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Guillelmus's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 32 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Musko came free, but Diego Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Guillelmus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hipolito Peruanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Astor Musko made a kick off. Hipolito Peruanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Ixidor in the 54th minute of play. Baldomero Bieito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipolito Peruanton having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Baldomero Bieito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 72nd minute Astor Musko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hipolito Peruanton made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Baldomero Bieito sent off a good shot on target. Hipolito Peruanton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Guillelmus in the 84th minute of the match. Godfredo Arano's late challenge caught a Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfredo Arano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Godfredo Arano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
