Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Humberto Guillelmus made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Cordero got free with Diego Orlondon in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Cordero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Orlondon having to interfere. Diego Orlondon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Todor's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When Rogelio Gai fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's protests and gave Rogelio Gai a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gracias Chano booed when Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Gai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualterio Salomon's shot from long distance in the 14th minute was not bad at all, but Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Diego Orlondon knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 18 minutes into the game, Gracias Chano's Julio Cordero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diego Orlondon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With a little luck, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Diego Orlondon got control of the ball when Julio Cordero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernan Innocenzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Diego Orlondon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Innocenzio in the 28th minute of play forced Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's goalkeeper Diego Orlondon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Innocenzio came free, but Diego Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernan Innocenzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fernan Innocenzio made the kick off in the second half. Teodoro Ixidor charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Ixidor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Teodoro Ixidor got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 56 played minutes, Gracias Chano's Rene Gaufred shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diego Orlondon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gracias Chano reached it. If Fernan Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernan Innocenzio in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Orlondon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodoro Ixidor was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Teodoro Ixidor hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Innocenzio came free, but Diego Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Leonides Abalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Orlondon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Innocenzio in the 74th minute of the match. Julio Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernan Innocenzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Diego Orlondon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Julio Cordero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Orlondon was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Leonides Abalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's zone, Julio Cordero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Orlondon came out of the goal and Julio Cordero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego Orlondon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Innocenzio in the 87th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Julio Cordero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Diego Orlondon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Fernan Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
