Bartolo Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Mateo having to interfere. Robustiano Beat hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Tadeo Iraido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Chumo in the 43rd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Bernabe Pio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macantes LP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Euscadi the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arsenio Gaizkine to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Euscadi getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Macantes LP had won after a very even match.
