Rigoberto Gutierrez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustin Mendiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Afonso having to interfere. Brandsen's Celestino Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celestino Marques struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Joel Afonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brandsen. In the last second Joel Afonso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Agustin Mendiko in the 26thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Marques in the 28th minute of play forced Mussi's goalkeeper Joel Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mussi's Joel Afonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Marques in the 35th minute of play. Mussi's Joel Afonso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Mussi from getting a goal against them. Agustin Mendiko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Joel Afonso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Mussi's zone, Agustin Mendiko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Afonso came out of the goal and Agustin Mendiko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Brandsen booed when Mussi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Victorio Montrelle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brandsen's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorio Montrelle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Afonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the match, Brandsen's Rigoberto Gutierrez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Afonso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brandsen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
