Thanks to some nice moves Reynaldo Gau could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Godofredo Santiago however easily saved by the left post. In the 7th match minute, Leonardo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Iigo to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Progresso's Hilario Mikelar fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, Hilario Mikelar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Leonardo's Natalio Virila. Natalio Virila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Hilario Mikelar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natalio Virila was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Virila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Hilario Mikelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Jeremias Umea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leonardo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Progresso the free kick. 32 minutes into the match, Progresso's goalkeeper Godofredo Santiago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaristo Iigo. In the 36th minute Hilario Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Virila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natalio Virila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hilario Mikelar in the 67th minute. Hilario Mikelar struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Natalio Virila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Progresso. Natalio Virila made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Hilario Mikelar sent off a good shot on target. Progresso's Hilario Mikelar got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Elias Gustau fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Natalio Virila, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Elias Gustau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progresso's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Gustau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Virila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godofredo Santiago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Iigo in the 87th minute of the match. With a little luck, Leonardo's Natalio Virila got control of the ball when Hilario Mikelar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute of the match, Elias Gustau tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Natalio Virila saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded Progresso left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Leonardo.
