The tension between the Dúrham FC and the Luján FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cleto Txaran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Demesio in the 24th minute of play. When Teobaldo Semeno came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Dúrham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Semeno couldn't finish the play. Teobaldo Semeno's late challenge caught a Luján FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmelo Darien stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Semeno's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Teobaldo Semeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dúrham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Semeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Demesio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 74th minute Epifanio Demesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Txaran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Semeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Darien having to interfere.
