The audience was convinced that Ildefonso Gilabert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauricio Garin was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. With a left leg Mauricio Garin saved Grana FC from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Gilabert made a kick off. After some careless play in the Grana FC defense, Ildefonso Gilabert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauricio Garin. The Grana FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Garin should have stopped the shot.
