During the 12th minute of the match Silvano Calixto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Silvano Calixto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 13th match minute, Islandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Calixto to maneuver through the defense. Hermengildo Maidana was a little too slow when Marcelo Osoro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. When Maximo Dominix came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Islandia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximo Dominix couldn't finish the play. Hermengildo Maidana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Osoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Roman FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Macerio to maneuver through the defense. Maximo Dominix struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Dalmacio Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islandia. Hermengildo Maidana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Osoro in the 86th minute of the match. When Federico Marques came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Islandia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Marques couldn't finish the play.
