The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albino Socorro got free with Rodolfo Sengrat in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albino Socorro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Rodolfo Sengrat made a huge save. When Eduardo Ledesma fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arrecifes AFC's protests and gave Eduardo Ledesma a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Arrecifes AFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Eduardo Ledesma hit a great ball. Albino Socorro struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Rodolfo Sengrat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gramilla FC. After 9 minutes of play Arrecifes AFC's Eduardo Ledesma was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 10 played minutes Arrecifes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Ledesma. After a rather tough play, Gramilla FC's Eriberto Bonadona got a free kick in the 12th minute. A collision led to Gramilla FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Aquilino Cordero hit a great ball. Mauro Bitxintxo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fermin Manilan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrecifes AFC. Ambrosio Txerran might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Sengrat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ambrosio Txerran ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodolfo Sengrat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Txerran, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Ambrosio Txerran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Sengrat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albino Socorro in the 37th minute. Fermin Manilan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Bitxintxo in the 41st minute of play. Ambrosio Txerran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Sengrat having to interfere. Tomas Nahia's late challenge caught a Gramilla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Nahia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gramilla FC booed when Arrecifes AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Nahia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Bitxintxo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes AFC's Tomas Nahia got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ubaldo Baraquiel charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Baraquiel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 61 minutes into the match, Arrecifes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Socorro came free, but Rodolfo Sengrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Tomas Nahia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrecifes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Nahia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 68 minutes of play, Arrecifes AFC's Mauro Bitxintxo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fermin Manilan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mauro Bitxintxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Sengrat came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Gramilla FC's Ambrosio Txerran. But to his dismay, Ambrosio Txerran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Mauro Bitxintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the match, Gramilla FC's goalkeeper Fermin Manilan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Bitxintxo. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gramilla FC's goalkeeper Fermin Manilan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 86 minutes, Mauro Bitxintxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrecifes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Bitxintxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute of the match Arrecifes AFC got a corner. Gramilla FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saverio Paskal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arrecifes AFC's Saverio Paskal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fermin Manilan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rodolfo Sengrat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Txerran in the 94th minute of the match.
