Spectators: 7235 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) Lujan FC's Herminio Lleir started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Lleir in the 11th minute of play forced Corsarios FC's goalkeeper Flavio Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Efrain Caetano kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Flavio Urtzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Jerico in the 18th minute of play. Flavio Urtzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Jerico in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Baldomero Jerico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Urtzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Baldomero Jerico came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Corsarios FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Jerico couldn't finish the play. Herminio Lleir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Lujan FC's goalkeeper Flavio Urtzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Bordat. After a defensive mix-up in Lujan FC's zone, Salvador Frutos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Urtzi came out of the goal and Salvador Frutos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Jerico in the 39th minute of play forced Lujan FC's goalkeeper Flavio Urtzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Ekaitz came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lujan FC's Herminio Lleir. But to his dismay, Herminio Lleir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half Lujan FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomero Jerico was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Denis Francesco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lujan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Francesco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Ekaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corsarios FC's goalkeeper Flavio Ekaitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Baldomero Jerico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Urtzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Denis Francesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Salvador Frutos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godfredo Bordat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Urtzi having to interfere. Flavio Urtzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Jerico in the 73rd minute of the match. Salvador Frutos hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Denis Francesco in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flavio Ekaitz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Herminio Lleir came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Lujan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herminio Lleir couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Lujan FC booed when Corsarios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Jerico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norberto Lawrence was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Godfredo Bordat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corsarios FC's Flavio Ekaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Corsarios FC from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
