El Moderno's Filiberto Erlantz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save El Moderno from getting a goal against them. Nunez Lastur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mauro Cheche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeronimo Lico charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeronimo Lico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Ignado to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Nunez Lastur made a precise shot to the right of Mauro Cheche. EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Filiberto Erlantz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Txordon in the 26th minute of play. Vladimiro Lertxun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Filiberto Erlantz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Vladimiro Lertxun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauro Cheche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Guzman, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in El Moderno's zone, Vladimiro Lertxun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Erlantz came out of the goal and Vladimiro Lertxun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Txordon was the one to do the kick off. If Orlando Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes, Jorge Gurutz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC and the El Moderno players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, El Moderno's Camilo Donzel tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mauro Cheche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Lastur in the 59th minute of play. Mauro Cheche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Ruben Guzman made a precise shot to the right of Mauro Cheche. EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Txordon in the 69th minute of play forced El Moderno's goalkeeper Filiberto Erlantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 played minutes El Moderno got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Lico. Orlando Txordon took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filiberto Erlantz. Filiberto Erlantz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 75th minute of the match, Nunez Lastur tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mauro Cheche saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Orlando Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Demesio kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Orlando Txordon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Lastur came free, but Mauro Cheche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimiro Lertxun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Erlantz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Vladimiro Lertxun managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vladimiro Lertxun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiberto Erlantz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
