Mauro Cheche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Gasteiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erubiel Sansone in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Cheche saved EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC from getting behind. In the 12th minute Erubiel Sansone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Cheche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Jatsu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eduardo Henric. After 17 played minutes EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Henric. Hipolito Berto struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mauro Cheche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos F.C.. Mauro Cheche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Benino in the 24th minute of the match. Hipolito Berto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the game, Erubiel Sansone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mauro Cheche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristobal Gasteiz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Santos F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Erubiel Sansone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Cheche having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hipolito Berto in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Cheche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erubiel Sansone got free with Mauro Cheche in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erubiel Sansone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Cristobal Gasteiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Esdras's late challenge caught a Santos F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Esdras helped the player get up and apologised. Mauro Cheche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erubiel Sansone in the 73rd minute. Mauro Cheche was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Erubiel Sansone capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erubiel Sansone really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 88th match minute, EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Henric to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Santos Abancens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Erubiel Sansone came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Santos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Sansone couldn't finish the play. Erubiel Sansone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Santos F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than EL NOVENO PASAJERO FC.
