Spectators: 7331 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mauricio Abad got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Adan Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Cisco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoriano Chepe got free with Humberto Rolado in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the game, Mauricio Abad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Humberto Rolado. Mauricio Abad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Barreto's Dalmacio Cisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Ledesma in the 18th minute of play. Eugenio Marz hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Humberto Rolado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Abad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 24 minutes on the clock, Jose Juvenal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barreto! In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Douglas Haig. Adan Ledesma stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dalmacio Cisco. 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Barreto's Victoriano Chepe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Humberto Rolado. Humberto Rolado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 34th minute of the match, Benito Goren got a very nice opportunity to score, but Humberto Rolado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Elvio Pietro hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Douglas Haig's Adan Ledesma got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arsenio Raebert's late challenge caught a Barreto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arsenio Raebert helped the player get up and apologised. Humberto Rolado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mauricio Abad. After having played for 46 minutes, Adan Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douglas Haig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adan Ledesma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Barreto's zone, Arsenio Raebert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmacio Cisco came out of the goal and Arsenio Raebert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Adan Ledesma made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Victoriano Chepe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Rolado. Douglas Haig's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victoriano Chepe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After some careless play in the Douglas Haig defense, Victoriano Chepe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Rolado. The Douglas Haig fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Rolado should have stopped the shot. Douglas Haig's Humberto Rolado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Goren in the 66th minute of play. Cleto Nuxila hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Adan Ledesma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Cisco having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Barreto got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Chepe. 81 minutes into the game, Silvano Hodei threw the ball into play from the sideline. Douglas Haig's Cleto Nuxila quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 85 minutes into the game, Eugenio Marz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Douglas Haig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barreto the free kick. Eugenio Marz hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Elvio Pietro fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barreto's protests and gave Elvio Pietro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Inocencio Hurko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Douglas Haig's zone, Victoriano Chepe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Rolado came out of the goal and Victoriano Chepe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barreto's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
