Ermegildo Tipi came out of the goal and Segundo Ibon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeronimo Qwinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Jeronimo Qwinton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Que Lio Messi F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Qwinton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Cecilio Pueblo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the game, Que Lio Messi F.C.'s Hernan Chucho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marciano Eguntsenti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 15th minute Haroldo Frasco suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Humberto Mel fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored rosarioCentral's protests and gave Humberto Mel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, rosarioCentral's Humberto Mel got a free kick in the 16th minute. Godfredo Tristan hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. A collision led to Que Lio Messi F.C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Godfredo Tristan hit a great ball. Segundo Ibon struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ermegildo Tipi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for rosarioCentral. Roberto Lehior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute Roberto Lehior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Tipi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in rosarioCentral's zone, Aurelio Pagomari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marciano Eguntsenti came out of the goal and Aurelio Pagomari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Roberto Lehior got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Segundo Ibon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Segundo Ibon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ermegildo Tipi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segundo Ibon was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Que Lio Messi F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Pepillo to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Tipi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Ibon, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Segundo Ibon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ermegildo Tipi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Ibon in the 77th minute of play. When Aurelio Pagomari came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Que Lio Messi F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Pagomari couldn't finish the play. If Aurelio Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Que Lio Messi F.C. getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Saturnino Pepillo hit a great ball. Que Lio Messi F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
