Anselmo Chico hit a great ball. Arcadia's Bernardo Cordairo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Melquiades Locaio but with some difficulty. Luján's Melquiades Locaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Luján from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Mattin in the 11th minute of play forced Arcadia's goalkeeper Constantino Dimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Sixto Mattin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantino Dimo. Arcadia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sixto Mattin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Salvador Katia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Constantino Dimo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Lico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Melquiades Locaio having to make a save. Melquiades Locaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Sarracino, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sixto Mattin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Constantino Dimo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Sixto Mattin struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Constantino Dimo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luján. 33 minutes into the match, Luján's goalkeeper Melquiades Locaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Lico. Edgardo Lico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Melquiades Locaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Sixto Mattin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Constantino Dimo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgardo Lico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Melquiades Locaio made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 54th minute Edgardo Lico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Locaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Salvador Katia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 58 minutes, Sixto Mattin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luján's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Mattin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
