Villafañe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Gartzen in the 15th minute of play forced Rayuela FC's goalkeeper German Gipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Mikolas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camilo Jerrald's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 27th match minute, Villafañe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Gartzen to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Pagomari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. German Gipuzkoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Rayuela FC's goalkeeper German Gipuzkoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicanor Bizen. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Romeo Herena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayuela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Herena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Mikolas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, Villafañe's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Jerrald came free, but Herminio Mikolas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Nicanor Bizen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villafañe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Bizen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Villafañe's Herminio Mikolas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Villafañe from getting a goal against them. If Camilo Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Villafañe's Nicanor Bizen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. German Gipuzkoa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Delmar Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. In the 95th minute, Ricardo Vedillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rayuela FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
