Azul y Oro's Jeronimo Dantae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Urtzi in the 14th minute of play. Bruno Gimenez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Jeronimo Dantae made a huge save. Fidel Toribio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Reyes in the 27th minute of play forced DOUGLAS HAIG's goalkeeper Rodolfo Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Azul y Oro's Fidel Toribio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Cristian Reyes hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Domingos Urtzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DOUGLAS HAIG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Urtzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Azul y Oro's zone, Bruno Gimenez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Dantae came out of the goal and Bruno Gimenez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Honorato Evarado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodolfo Nardo. DOUGLAS HAIG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honorato Evarado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Domingos Urtzi had several of the Azul y Oro's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 48 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Jeronimo Dantae as he didn't even see the shot coming. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Domingos Urtzi made the kick off in the second half. Domingos Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Valentin Cugat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Bruno Gimenez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jeronimo Dantae made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Marcos Jorrin hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Nardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Evarado, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Rodolfo Nardo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Fidel Toribio sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Evarado in the 94th minute of play forced DOUGLAS HAIG's goalkeeper Rodolfo Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marcos Jorrin fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DOUGLAS HAIG's protests and gave Marcos Jorrin a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes DOUGLAS HAIG got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Jorrin. Honorato Evarado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rodolfo Nardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
